Those silly puppies make me laugh every day. WIth the bad economy and worries about money and jobs- these little guys can really make you forget your troubles! They are all so cute but it’s hard to not have a favorite. I am partial to Autumn (purple collar) and Akoni (black collar). I think I was first drawn to them because of their black muzzles but they are hilarious! I can not believe I am watching a computer screen after work and I get excited when Miss Autumn uses the puppy pad!! Or Akoni made a poo-poo!

I will be sad when these pups go to their forever homes and to their new families. They really have brought a joy to my life….and I realize how much I miss Kaina.

Here’s a little fact about voting in California- California was the sixth state to give women full voting rights in 1911. And I have taken advantage of that fact since I turned 18. I vote in every election and I take the time to research each Candidate, Propisition, and Measure. And yes- I always always wear my “I Voted” sticker proudly. Because I think it’s our civic duty to vote. And regardless how you voted out there- I really do hope you at least Voted. In this election- I waited about an hour to cast my vote.

And I thought I’d scan my sample ballot since this was a historic election.

However- I was in San Francisco on the Thursday before Fleet Week began and the Blue Angels were practicing and that made me want to venture back for Fleet Week. So I went with my Mom and Rose on Sunday  Oct 12th. We left way too early…I got a wake up call about 15 mins before we left. Can’t a Girl get any Beauty Sleep?

Leaving super early has it’s advantages. We got a great parking spot right on the wharf- we were able to watch all the sailors and marines set up their booths- we got Navy pins and Navy ear plugs from one generous sailor booth dude- and we got in line to get on a ship at pier 32- which was like a 92 mile hike down the Embarcadero. While standing in line to get on the USS Pinckney- it was like a wind tunnel in the cold Artic circle. And we stood there for about 45 minutes. I still have the cold and the runny nose to prove it.

Rose really liked our guide Officer David R-Something or the Other-Co. At least I think his name was David. Maybe Not. Rose????  Anyways- we got a nice tour of the ship and we got to pretty much touch everything in the bridge- the Navy is really trusting of the every day citizen. Because we were like kids in a candy store! WOOOO-HOOOO! Let’s pretend to drive the ship! My mom wanted to use the Red Phone but we didn’t really let her. Just In Case. And we all sat in the Captain’s chair. Rose wanted a photo op with our tour guide and so after much thought and photo envy- I too took my photo with the Mister.

After our tour of the ship- I bought a USS Pinckney shirt for $10! They really should have charged more- but we all bought something because it was all so inexpensive and we felt like we were supporting them in a way. We then hiked back to Pier 39 and by this point- the streets were packed with people. And that meant so were the restaurants. We got in line at Bubba Gumps but we got lucky and snagged a bar table. While we were finishing up- we heard the loud BOOM! of jets over head and we thought we were missing the Blue Angels.

But as we were walking back to our car- we actually saw the Blue Angels in the distance past the Golden Gate Bridge! So we stuck around and watched the Blue Angels for awhile. It is so exhilarating to watch them. They are Bad Ass. Around this time my mom thought she was going to pass out or something so Rose got her a Coke and we sat her in the corner. You will be glad to know she didn’t pass out.

When we were trying to leave the wharf area- we realized our super close parking spot sucked ass big time. People were camped out in the actual parking lot like they were tail gating watching the air show. The Police blocked off streets. People were rudely walking through the streets so our cars couldn’t move. Rose and I started yelling out the windows. My Mom actually honked at people. Well Done. It took us a hour and half to make it to a freeway to get out of the city. And as we drove away from Fleet Week frustrated- we all vowed never again will we go back to Fleet Week. That is- until next year….

Hey Ladies! The New Kids aren’t Kids Anymore…….Hubba Hubba

I have never really gotten into the whole Boy Band thing. However- I do know the words to almost every Boy band song and I have been to numerous Boy Band concerts thanks to Brandy. I can now say I am complete because last Friday- I went to see the New Kids On The Block with Brandy. And I might add- I wasn’t really into them when they were hot back in 1990. But Holy Hell- Joey McIntyre grew up! And if I had to buy a concert button- it would be Joey’s (Kisses Doll Face! You are Hotness on a Stick 7 different ways!). Who Knew?

I have to admit I did really really like the New Kids single from the summer called Summertime.  It was my summer anthem and on repeat in my car all summer long. And I have to say that I really had a blast at the concert. Those boys Men can still dance and can still sing and they reminded me why they were so darn big before. Because they are Good. And if the New Kids come to a city near you- go ahead and treat yourself. They really put on a great show.

Then Natasha Bedingfield came onstage. Natasha was very good. She was super cute and of course I was waiting for her to sing Unwritten because HELLO- who doesn’t love The Hills?

Then came the New Kids. And the they opened with Single- their new song with Ne-Yo. BUT HELLO! People kept walking front of us- walking through the row- messing up my video and one chick even kicked my purse and crawling over Brandy- BAD FORM PEOPLE! Make sure to get your asses into your seats BEFORE the concert starts. I swear. I am going to start macing people or something.

And then it happened- the words to all the songs came rushing back to me and I remember singing them to and from cheerleading practice cuz they got constant radio play and they reminded me of High School Dances- Tonight- Please Don’t Go Girl- I’ll Be Loving You Forever- Didn’t I Blow Your Mind- My Favorite Girl- If You Go Away- Step By Step. And all of a sudden I was mad at myself for not buying the $10 12 inch button of the guys when I had a chance before the concert. DAMN!

I really like some of their new stuff as well. I am so going to itunes and so downloading. My Picks are Single, Dirty Dancing, 2 in the Morning.

The San Jose AMTSJ Ad

Last night I had Front Row Tickets to see The Full Monty at the American Musical Theater in San Jose. Now I had read the San Jose Mercury News and the show got a Rave review. So I took some of my reserve money and bought myself a ticket. **Giggles** Boy Howdy!!! Am I ever glad I did! I had the Best Time EVER! And I highly suggest trying to see this musical if it comes to a theater near you! It was hilarious- I was laughing the whole time! The cast was excellent- each and every character was believable – and they looked like they were having as much fun as I was!

The play opens with a Stripper and he is a nice one at that! They placed actors in the audience to get people yelling and clapping. Of course- the only Strippers that matter are our main characters- the 6 fellas who needed jobs and money so they plan on stripping and performing the Full Monty for one night only at $50 per ticket. And let me tell you- the last act where the guys are finally “performing” at their “show”- I expected to see their butts. No biggie. The fellas are dancing- taking off their jackets- their shirts- their ties- then their pants. And they all had white trunks on. Then they start to tease you and start to take off their whote trunks to reveal red g-stings. They are all still wearing their hats (see pic above). Behind them now is a 20 foot tall Full Monty lit up sign like this:

And they turn to face the Full Monty sign and we all see their butts. They start to unsnap the red g-strings! The crowd is going wild! Now they all hold up their red G-strings in their hands and throw them! They are completely naked!!!! They all take off their hats and cover their man bits and all turn around to face the audience again like this:

And they are all smiling- and then all of a sudden- they all put their hats on! And right as they do that- and show the audience all their glory- the stage lights go down and the Full Monty Sign behind the guys lights up 100 times more and you can now only see their sillouhettes. But you know- at that point it all happens so fast you aren’t even sure that was a penis you saw- but yes- yes- indeed- that was a penis. I was in the front row after all.

And the crowd was going crazy! What a fantastic end to the show! They did indeed go the Full Monty. And I had a great time at a great show. What a perfect show to score Front Row tickets to!

Most of the rows behind us left after Maroon 5 ended their set and during the Counting Crows set. However- the Jerks in our row refused to LEAVE the concert but insisted on repeated trips to get beer. The Crows opened with “Round Here” but we were really hoping to hear “Mr Jones and Me”. That so didn’t happen. It was getting late- and it was getting cold- and we didn’t know ANY of the Crows songs- so we left. However- I have to say Adam Duritz was awseome- loved his voice- we only wish we knew the songs.

What a great way to spend a Wednesday Night! Who says Life isn’t Good???

Mark went to Home Depot and picked up the $9.99 standard toilet seat. No Worries- right?

WRONG! That’s a good 2 inches of Protruding Porcelain there Folks. Now we know that our toilets take the ultra fancy Elongated $12.99 Toilet Seats.

Now the problem with the All You Eat Section was that there was nothing holding you back from sampling all the goods except your own sheer will power. And let’s say only Brandy kept that in check. She ate one of everything. But between us all this is what we ate and we hope we ate more than $17 dollars worth of junk per person because the bleachers were $18 a seat and we wanted our $35 dollars worth of Baseball/Hot Dog Fun. 

What the Adonas and Tantrums ate:

• 9 Hot Dogs
• 4 Popcorns
• 7 Nachos
• 3 Peanuts
• 5 Ice Cream Sandwiches
• 15 or maybe more half sized sodas

This is the destruction the All You Can Eat Section can result in…….but please remember folks that I had taken at least 4 trays of garbage to throw away during the game. This was what was left of our empty cups and wrappers at the end of the game under Brandy’s Seat (Mark’s garbage not pictured). I kinda think one nachos is enough but HindSight is 20/20. None of us felt too great either on the long walk back to the car.

**Sidenote! If you find yourself at an A’s game and you forgot your sunscreen….you can get free sunscreen at the First Aid station. Just a FYI.
